Speaker - Alison McAfee "Sperm Viability in Queen Bees"


Join us for our first meeting of the year with Dr. Alison McAfee, a post-doc at NCSU in Dr. Tarpy's Lab, and a frequent contributor to American Bee Journal. She got her PhD in Genome Science and Technology from the University of British Columbia studying mechanisms of hygienic behavior in honey bees.  She is now studying what keeps honey bee sperm alive.  Alison will be speaking on the factors that enable honey bee queens to keep sperm alive for their productive lives I look forward to seeing you at the Zoom meeting.
