Speaker: Dr. Volker Bornemann, CEO of Avazyme

Title: “Honey, Bees, and Science: The Good, The Bad, & the Toxic”

Plans are underway to create a library of honey data for North Carolina and the surrounding regions.  After enough honey samples are gathered, advanced nutritional information, hive health data, nectar source data, and authenticity testing will be available. We will be able to ‘fingerprint’ honey to tell when and where a sample was harvested, and to prove its origin.
