Registration

  • Bee School Student Registration. This registration includes one set of text books. At least one text book set is needed per family.
  • Bee School Student Registration without textbooks. This doesn't include text book set. Note at least one text book set is needed per family. If you have taken the class before you can use last years book.
  • Late Bee School Student Registration. This registration includes one set of textbooks. At least one text book set is needed per family. If you miss any class you are responsible to get another student to help catch you up.
  • Late Bee School Student Registration without set of textbooks. At least one text book set is needed per family. If you have taken the class before you can use last years book. If you miss any class you are responsible to get another student to help catch you up.

Forsyth County Beekeepers Association's 2017 Bee School

This school is designed to provide you with the text book, presentations, demonstrations, mentor, class instruction and practical experience you will need to become a certified beekeeper.  In the 4th week of the class we will assign you a mentor who can assist you during and after school.  This is a 5 Saturday class room course that will culminate with a practical hands on examination of your new beekeeping skills.  You will also have the opportunity to take the :

North Carolina State Beekeepers Association - Master Beekeeper Program - Certified Beekeeper Written Exam.  

The classroom portion will meet from 9am to 12 noon at the Forsyth County Cooperative Extension Center.  The course will be instructed by experienced Beekeepers from our Association.

Annual FCBA membership is required @ $10.  The cost of the course is $50 per person which covers the cost of books and helps fund our association's mission to promote good beekeeping practices and continuing education for interested beekeepers.  If family's want to share books, a non textbook registration is available for $35.  Registration is requested before February 11th or a $10 Late Registration fee will be charged.
