Forsyth County Beekeepers Association September MeetingWoosley Farm, 2780 Woosley Road, Pfafftown, NC 27040

You should not attend if you have symptoms of, a positive test for, or were recently exposed (within 14 days) to COVID-19.  Please do not attend if you are unwilling or unable to wear a mask (Woosley Farm requirement).  Advanced registration is required.  Membership is required for ALL attendees.  Registration will be opened for each session approximately 3 weeks before the event (around Aug 15).  Please do not sign up for more than one session.  We are doing the best we can to follow all guidelines and to allow the maximum number of members to see Michael, so we plan to video one session to allow members who cannot attend in person to enjoy Michael's wisdom at a later time.

Michael Bush is one of the leading proponents of treatment free beekeeping.  He has had an eclectic set of careers from printing and graphic arts to construction to computer programming and a few more in between.  Currently he is working in computers.  He has been keeping bees since the mid 70's, usually from two to seven hives up until the year 2000.  Varroa forced more experimentation which required more hives, and the number has grown steadily over the years from then.  By 2008 it was about 200 hives.  He is active on many of the Beekeeping forums with last count at about 50,000 posts between all of them.  He has a website on beekeeping at www.bushfarms.com/bees.htm.  Come hear Michael speak about preparing  bees for the winter.  There will be a chance to purchase (cash or checks) his books, also.  Prices (cash and check) are as follows:

Beekeeping Naturally:  A Simple Recipe - Michael Bush - $20

The Practical Beekeeper:  Beekeeping Naturally - Michael Bush - $50

Huber's New Observations Upon Bees, The Complete Volumes 1 & 2 - Francis Huber (translated by C.P. Dadant) - $50

Biological Beekeeping:  The Way Back - Ed & Dee Lusby - $55
